How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We started out as students and loved dancing so much, we went to work for a franchise. After several years teaching for someone else, we wanted to open our own studio. We don't believe students need to be locked into large, expensive contracts to stay interested. We believe if the students are having fun and receiving a quality education, they will continue coming back for more. It has worked for the past 3 years, our dance family keeps growing, and growing, and growing...
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have 12 of the top instructors in Arizona teaching in our studio. Four of the instructors are certified adjudicators, meaning they are able to judge competitions. One of them is also a 7 time national champion in American rhythm. Every instructor has either competed in the past or is currently competing now. We have specialists in American style, International, Country and Social, as well as competitive style and social style.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 1 location in North Scottsdale, Ambiant Dance, plus a second location in Peoria named Avalon Ballroom.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located one block north of Westworld and one block south of the Alltel Ice Den on Bahia. From the 101 & Frank Lloyd Wright, take the freeway access road north. Stay in the right hand lane, so you do not accidentally end up on the freeway. At the top of the hill you will pass the entrance to Westworld, and at the bottom of the hill there will be a right turn lane for Bahia. Make a right and go past AZ on the Rocks. You will see a 3 story building called McDowell Mountain Medical. We are directly across the street, next to Young Chefs Academy.
