The mission of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce is to build an environment that enhances the economic vitality of our membership. Joining the Chamber entitles every member to these benefits:
Visibility
Nearly 10,000 business people annually attend events, seminars and networking opportunities produced by the Tempe Chamber. The Chamber sponsors dozens of networking opportunities each year, including morning mixers, business after hours, Tempe Chamber Annual Luncheon, Tempe Links Classic, and the Breakfast for Chamber Champions. Each event is a new opportunity to cultivate new relationships and maintain old ones.
Representation
Only the Tempe Chamber is lobbying government officials on issues that directly impact Tempe businesses. The Chamber is also the recognized voice at state and national levels. The Chamber regularly reviews and takes positions on legislation affecting the business environment. We communicate these positions through the Monday Morning Update email and in the Chamber monthly newsletter, The Business Advocate.
Training
The Chamber is committed to providing educational programs through seminars, meetings and luncheons. The Women In Business Council offers monthly business-related seminars, Hot Topics & Lunch, that feature expert instructors with up-to-date business information that can be applied to your professional life. The Small Business Council offers a monthly program, Networking @ Noon.
Information
Stay in touch with the many programs and events offered at the Chamber by reading the monthly The Business Advocate newsletter which features topical resource information, legislative action, marketing tips and more. Every Monday morning a weekly e-newsletter is distributed to keep you updated with current happenings and events for the week. The Chamber also offers publications, directions and counseling services to help you start or grow your business.

Referrals
The Tempe Chamber receives thousands of information inquiries each month. In 2006, the Tempe Chamber website had nearly one million hits, the Chamber lobby had nearly 3,200 drop-in visitors, 11,500 visitors called the Chamber requesting information, and the Chamber sent 1,400 relocation packets. The Tempe Chamber only refers and sends information on its members!
Membership Directory
Chamber members are listed alphabetically and by business types in the annual Business Partner Directory. Copies of this directory are distributed throughout the business community and also in our Relocation Packets.
Website
The Chamber’s website displays all members with a FREE link at www.tempechamber.org. We also offer opportunities for advertising on the website.
Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Opening Ceremonies
Members who start, expand or relocate their business may want to use this as a marketing tool.
Trade Shows
The Chamber hosts three trade shows throughout the year. This is a very cost-effective way to display goods and services to area businesses if you want to increase your exposure and visibility. The East Valley Business Expo, the largest and only pipe-and-drape show in the East Valley, is a partnership with the Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Tempe chambers of commerce.
Community Involvement
There are 11 committees that appeal to a range of interests. Lend your valuable expertise or gain insight on community issues by being involved! Tempe Chamber members have ample opportunity to influence the business climate.
Other Benefits
Plaque and Logo
Membership in the Chamber has its privileges. Each member receives a plaque to display and Chamber logos are available for use in member advertising. Legal certification is provided at no charge for members exporting goods.
